The Mental Model — One Source, Two Runtimes
What the Toolkit Actually Is
A Workshop, Not a Prompt Pack
Domdhi.Agents is a toolkit that sits inside your repository and gives your coding agent a repeatable way of working: workflows that take an idea all the way to a committed change, roles that supply consistent behavior, knowledge skills that carry domain technique, and a memory that survives between sessions.
At v6.2 it ships:
| Piece | Count | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Workflows | 49 | Orchestration: gates, delegation, validation, commit |
| Roles | 11 | Shared behavior and identity for subagents |
| Knowledge skills | 23 | Domain techniques, templates and quality criteria |
The Three Tiers
Workflows (.agents/skills/*/references/workflow.md) orchestrate
Roles (.agents/roles/*.md) supply behavior
Knowledge (.agents/skills/*/SKILL.md + assets) supply domain technique
The rule that keeps this maintainable: no duplication between layers. A workflow references a skill's checklist instead of copying it. A role declares its skills instead of restating them. Fix a rule once and every layer that points at it is fixed.
Think of it as separation of concerns for an agent's behavior. Commands orchestrate, roles supply behavior, skills supply knowledge. If you catch yourself pasting the same checklist into two files, one of them is in the wrong tier.
A code-review checklist is needed by both a review workflow and the code-reviewer role. Where should it live?
